Processing Infrastructure - General information

Compute systems are installed with Ubuntu Xenial. The processing infrastructure provides End-to-End data consistency on network traffic and on disk level. All data is stored lz4 compressed, which in average saves up to 20% of the capacity, depending on the data format.

The system consists of 3 nodes:

  • Login system ppi-login-b1.met.no
    CPU: Intel(R) E5-2650 v2@2.60GHz 16Cores/32Threads, RAM: 65GB

  • Compute system 1
    CPU: Intel(R) E5-2650 v2@2.60GHz 16Cores/32Threads, RAM:192GB

  • Compute system 2
    CPU: Intel(R) E5-2650 v2@2.60GHz 16Cores/32Threads, RAM:256GB

Compute system 1 and 2 are available for batch and interactive jobs via GridEngine.
